Colleagues

I am IT skilled guy, and as per my observation, mostly skilled people are Introverts. I like to spend time with myself, small task completions helps in increasing my dopamine level. So I keep myself busy in surfing and software installations etc. I do not hate colleagues, but problem is that non-technical guys ask too many questions and support. When one is not from Technical background, It is hard for him to understand easy things.(which are easy for savvy’s only).

Few colleagues are having above average IQ, some likes to see you on daily basis. Many are understanding that they may live without your assistance or you may call them compromising fellows (They seems happily married for more than 10 Years). Some are pain in my ___. This type is unignoreable. Why I said unignoreable, because they do not let you forget them. When you wake up early in the Morning, first sketch appears in your mind are their faces. You wish that particular colleague must have taken vacation for long period. They used to call or take support from you for easy and frequent tasks. In the name of these so called tasks, actually you are doing their job.

Ok, you may tell them big NO for doing their job, but mostly of them are of Managerial position and it might be harmful for your health. It is not necessary to mention that all accomplished tasks credit is taken by them, but mostly say “Thank you” and as a receipt I pay “Welcome” allowing them to bang me again. The worst part of service industry is that tasks are not measurable, but only feedback can be provided. No key performance indicators (KPI) for us, we indicate each other work on weekends by telling “Good Work, Have a nice weekend”. Few misfortunes have to attend their job even on weekends.

Higher Management colleagues are so stylish. Suites, cigars, red tie and off course stress. They even do not have time to take IT support. Mostly are monotonous, walking and talking to themselves. One time, it is noticed that our CFO leaving from washroom, while smiling. I did not figure out yet, what and how many made him smiling in that block. Anyway, smiling is a good habit. I do as well, but when that pain in my ___ are absent only.

Transit Managers

I came to know about one organization where Managers do not stay for long and left either for Good or Bad. I could not figure out who was cursed ๐Ÿ˜ฉ company or Managers. I heard and read the quote many times that If your boss is bad, leave the company, but this time Bosses were leaving the company ๐Ÿ˜ฑ intentionally or unintentionally both. Nobody talks about this innocent community.

Before understanding the pain ๐Ÿค’of Managers, would like to highlight Company Organization structure. It was Multi-bosses’ organization from CEO to Departments’ Presidents Levels with staff of around 350 employees. It was like 3 Managers for 1 Employee. ๐Ÿค“

I do not know that how many successors Managers so far now company achieved, but I only would share 5 Managers along with my free evaluation.๐Ÿ˜‘

First Manager ๐Ÿ˜Ž
Leader, Experienced, strong personality, best communication skills. He stayed only for around 8 Months and implemented couple of Projects successfully. But his pain was less salary. He was under impression that his salary package is low ๐Ÿค comparably to his mates in the same company and industry. He might right, so he left for Good!

Second Manager ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
His successor, skillful, talented but with poor communication and leadership skills. He could not create a good team and conflicts ๐Ÿ˜ต arises among them. Secondly, Top Management did not trust him. He was terminated after around 1 Year, so pain was given to him by Company.

Third Manager ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ
Decent, Social, Good communication skills but without leadership and less talented as required for his job. It is nice to have such people in life as a friend, but for work ? So, he left after One Year. Poor guy ๐Ÿฐ

Fourth Manager ๐Ÿ™‚
After testing all above 3, Management decided to promote the in-house staff ๐Ÿ™‹ to Management Post. He was talented, Leader, good communication skills. He worked with them for 2 Years successfully. But company was not paying him Managerial level package. So, his pain was also less money and he left for good.

How can company retain good employees with them. If those who are hired and not competent, provide them training? Questions to HR Officials. ๐Ÿ™
